Literary Society of
Ram
Lal Anand College, organizes its annual fest Expressions'19, where the
students would be given a great opportunity to be vocal about their emotions
and express their thoughts and engage in some exciting activities. The fest has
been organized for two days i.e.10th and 11th April 2019 subdivided
into three events. It includes cash prizes worth 5K*. Just to give
the readers a preview about the event, here we brief you with the schedule:-
Day
1
Event 1- Enact A Tale
In this
segment of the event, the contestant has to enact a story. It can be either in
English or Hindi and the students would have to perform within a set time
frame. The theme to enact is “Indian perspective on Women”
Event 2- Spellathon
Spellathon
is a Classic spell bee round consisting of two rounds where in Round 1, one
would be given a word to spell out and in Round 2, the rapid fire would take
place.
The
participant who correctly spells the maximum number of words within a fixed
time period wins.
Event 3 – Confessional Space
This part of
the event would be something nearing open mic with no rules and regulations.
A sheet of
paper will be given to everyone sitting, and they will have half an hour to
write their confession of whatever experience they hold which they are willing
to share in anonymity, that will be maintained strictly.
Day
2
Event 1- Impromptu
Participant
will have to fish out a chit from the selection bowl.With some time to think
over the topic the participant would be asked to speak about it.
Event 2 - HaikuJam
Haiku JAM is
a social writing game where strangers make 3 liner Haiku poems or excerpt with
each word given to them, the best poem is suitably awarded.
A common
word will be given to each participant.A quatrain has to be written within a
particular period of time.
Event 3 – Inking Out Loud
Participants
would need to write a literary piece (poem, short stories etc.) based on a music that will be played within a fixed time
period.
